Chief Executive Officer

Bill is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in renewable energy development, construction and operations. He began his career at Zilkha Renewable Energy, one of the first greenfield wind developers in the country, which was acquired by Goldman Sachs and then ultimately sold to EDP Renewables (EDPR). Bill served as Executive Vice President of EDPR’s Eastern region and led EDPR to become the largest wind project owner/operator in both PJM and NYISO with over 2.5 GW of operating assets. In 2015, Bill joined Calpine to lead their renewable energy development efforts where he oversaw the development of a 1.6 GW pipeline of wind and storage projects. Most recently, Bill served as President of Third Pillar Solar, a 547 Energy portfolio company focused on pioneering the development of floating PV projects.

Bill holds a BA in History and German from Tufts University and attended the Advanced Management Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. 

Chief Financial Officer

Ryan joins NRS with more than 15 years of renewable energy corporate and project finance, investment banking and consulting experience in both ownership and management positions.  As CFO of NRS, Ryan leads all financial activities for the company’s more than 3 GW portfolio of renewable energy development assets. 

Prior to joining NRS, Ryan spent over 10 years in investment banking, most recently as a Principal of BrokerBank Securities, raising debt and equity capital for numerous corporate financings and energy projects, including wind energy, ethanol and biodiesel projects. 

Ryan holds a BS in Finance from the Isenberg School of Business at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. Over the course of his career, he has held the FINRA series 7, 63 and 79 representative securities licenses and the series 24 general principal securities license. 

Chief Commercial Officer

As a founding member of NRS, Lindsey served as COO before taking on the role of Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, she oversees offtake origination & commercial markets, regulatory & policy affairs, ESG and corporate & communications functions.

During her energy career, Lindsey has worked as a Project Developer, Title Specialist and Investor Relations Officer. She has specific expertise in title and real estate geared toward the renewable energy industry, and manages the company’s site acquisition efforts, keeping 100% of these efforts in-house. Over the course of her career, Lindsey has worked with rural landowners to sign leases in seven states representing over 250,000 acres (and counting). 

Lindsey holds a BS in Health & Human Development from Montana State University – Bozeman.  

Chief Technology Officer

Vineet joined NRS in 2023 as SVP – Engineering to build out a team and processes that enhance NRS’ technical approach to development, construction, and operations. As Chief Technology Officer, he and his team continue to collaborate across the organization, and drive technical rigor, efficiency and innovation across all aspects of NRS’ business. Vineet joined NRS from DNV, the largest North American independent engineer for renewable energy projects. Vineet served in multiple roles during his 13-year tenure at DNV, most recently as a Senior Leader in their M&A advisory business during which he oversaw technical due-diligence to support acquisition and divestiture of tens of GWs of renewable energy projects. He also led technical due diligence of multiple development platforms, with valuations as high as $6B. Additionally, Vineet led DNV’s North American resource and performance measurement business and provided technical expertise on wind turbine performance, wind resource measurement and measurement uncertainties.

Vineet holds a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Akron.

Chief Operating Officer

Mike served as SVP – Operations of NRS since February 2024, supporting the completion of late-stage development projects and preparing for operations post-commercial operation. In his expanded role as COO, he draws upon his 16 years of renewable energy industry experience to lead NRS in strategically improving its operations capabilities. Prior to joining NRS, Mike was Head of Asset Management & Operations at EDP Renewables where he led the completion of wind and solar projects in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Mike holds a BBA from The University of Texas at Austin.

Chief Legal Officer

Ben served as General Counsel since joining NRS in February 2022, bringing practical and solution driven leadership to important transactions at NRS. As Chief Legal Officer, he focuses on risk management and direction of legal strategy as NRS continues to grow its portfolio of renewable energy projects. Prior to joining NRS, Ben was previously a business transactions attorney at Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., specializing in mergers & acquisitions, corporate law and commercial finance.  

Ben holds a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School and an MBA from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. 

SVP - Origination

With a background in trading, wholesale power marketing and portfolio optimization, Chase has spent the last 13 years working in the energy and utility industry focused on the WECC power market. Most recently, Chase successfully led a trading team and managed a portfolio of over 1000 MW of renewable generation that included wind, solar, batteries and geothermal.  

Chase holds a BS in Business Management with a focus on Economics from the University of New Mexico and Western Governors University.

SVP - Construction and Procurement

Nicholas joins NRS with more than 20 years of experience executing power generation projects worldwide. As SVP – Construction and Procurement at NRS, Nicholas leads construction and procurement strategy for the business. Prior to joining NRS, he was most recently Vice President, Renewable Project Management and Construction at Invenergy, where he led cross functional teams to drive the late-stage development and construction of numerous complex, capital intensive wind, solar and BESS projects across North America, South America, Asia and Europe.

Nicholas holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.

SVP - Development

Afton joins NRS with more than 16 years of experience in the energy sector, including development of over 3 GW of utility-scale wind, solar and storage projects across North America. Prior to joining NRS, she was head of onshore development at Orsted North America where she oversaw the development pipeline and team across the US. With expertise and depth of knowledge across technologies and markets, Afton has command of the full project lifecycle to manage both project- and portfolio- level risk. She began her career at EDP Renewables, where she managed wind and solar projects throughout Canada, Mexico and the US.

Afton holds a BS in Environmental Science and Policy with a concentration in Biology from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.

SVP - Commercial Analytics

Carl joins NRS with 17 years of clean energy experience, specializing in resource assessment, project performance, offtake & hedging and risk management.

Previously, Carl led analytics & research at REsurety where he specialized in evaluating and forecasting the financial value and emissions impact of wind, solar and storage assets. Prior to that, he worked at DNV GL analyzing and improving the accuracy of global bankable wind farm energy yield forecasts. Carl’s extensive industry experience and proven analytical skills support NRS’ mission to develop impactful and cost-effective clean energy projects.

Carl holds a MPhys in Astrophysics from University of Exeter.

SVP - Finance

With a background in banking and finance, Aniruddh has more than 18 years of experience in structured and project finance roles within the energy industry. Prior to joining NRS, Aniruddh was a Vice President in the project finance team at Pine Gate Renewables where he was responsible for leading a team and raising project finance capital for 2+ GW of utility scale solar and storage projects in both regulated and deregulated markets. Aniruddh also has over 12 years of banking experience raising financing for infrastructure and clean energy projects in the Americas and Asia. 

Aniruddh holds a BE in Computer Science from Anna University and an MBA from SP Jain School of Global Management. In addition, over the course of his career, he has held the FINRA series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
