About NRS
National Renewable Solutions, LLC (“NRS”) is a renewable energy company founded in 2011 and based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. NRS originates, acquires and develops renewable energy projects throughout the US at various stages, including from greenfield through operations. We have commercialized more than 1 GW of operating wind and solar projects, demonstrating a strong track record in a competitive field. Our current active development portfolio comprises more than 5 GW of renewable projects.
Our mission is to grow the renewables foothold in the US energy market with utility scale clean energy projects, leveraging our distinct expertise in wind, solar and storage technologies.
Our unique approach incorporates an efficient and purposeful review of each project’s attributes, with an unmatched effort in building long-lasting partnerships to deliver the best possible outcome to customers and communities.
In mid 2021, NRS was acquired by BlackRock Real Assets – Climate Infrastructure Group (“BlackRock”) with the intention of accelerating the development of its pipeline of projects toward financing, construction, and operations. With NRS’ on-the-ground development and origination expertise and BlackRock’s capital markets support and global reach, we have positioned ourselves as a major player in the U.S. renewable energy market.
