Expedition Wind is a late-stage 200 MW wind farm development located in Marion County, KS. The project was acquired by NRS in June of 2018, in partnership with Ares EIF (“Ares”). NRS has been developing the project since acquired, with Ares providing a development loan and credit security to support the project. As a part of the development funding, Ares has an option to acquire 100% of the equity of Expedition Wind, before Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Expedition Wind is scheduled for NTP in October of 2020, with COD in August of 2021. The project has the most critical development milestones in place to achieve NTP, including but not limited to long term off-take with the host utility (Evergy), an active GIA, and all required permits. Remaining development activities include securing the remaining land for the right of way to the gen-tie, final turbine and EPC procurement, and project financing activities. NRS is actively managing the right of way activities, with Ares leading final procurement and project financing.
