Carl Presents at ACP Peak

Our very own Carl Ostridge recently took the stage at ACP Peak in Austin, Texas. He led a thoughtful discussion on how today’s market conditions shape the interaction between generation, price, and revenue modeling for energy projects.

Understanding project revenue dynamics is key to serving our customers, and we were pleased to join ACP Peak to highlight how we’re shaping our diverse development portfolio.

Insights from the Utility Perspectives Symposium

Our team had the wonderful opportunity to hear key insights from prominent thought leaders in the industry at the Utility Perspectives Symposium in Colorado Springs. Conversations this year shed light on the accelerating demand for electricity, the evolving regulatory landscape, and more on how we can respond to energy infrastructure changes. Our team left the conference feeling energized and excited for what’s ahead!

All Hands Gathering

In November, the NRS team gathered for our Fall All Hands, one of the moments we set aside twice a year to reconnect and spend meaningful time together. Our volunteer activities were truly special. One group headed to Second Harvest Heartland in Brooklyn Park, MN, where they helped pack food for families in need. Another team made tied fleece blankets for an organization called “My Very Own Bed”, an organization that supports children transitioning to permanent housing with new beds and blankets.

We also came together for a memorable team dinner at Travail Kitchen and Amusements in Robbinsdale. The 12-course tasting menu was interactive and delicious, providing us with a perfect time to celebrate our accomplishments as a team. These moments remind us how meaningful it is to give back to our community and celebrate our work as a team.

Ranger Energy Community Meeting

On July 1st, our team hosted the first community meeting for the Ranger Energy Center storage project in Arizona. It was a great opportunity to connect with local stakeholders, answer questions, and share more about the project.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and made the conversation meaningful!

A Lasting Commitment to Local Impact

As part of its effort to build meaningful, long-term partnerships, our PEX project has established the PEX Communities Fund in collaboration with the Eastern Plains Office of the NoCo Foundation. The fund will support nonprofit organizations working in key areas such as workforce development, childcare, housing, and public safety throughout the life of each project.

Local organizations will have the opportunity to apply for funding aligned with these focus areas, helping ensure the benefits of development are felt beyond the project footprint.

PEX has already contributed to a variety of organizations across Northeast Colorado, including:

  • Brush Rodeo
  • Eastern Colorado Roundup Rodeo
  • Morgan County Partnership for Children & Families
  • Sunshine Childcare Center
  • Washington County 4-H
  • Washington County Nursing Home

NAEMA Recap

In early May, Chase and Katherine from our Origination Team attended the NAEMA 2025 Spring Conference in Scottsdale, AZ.

They appreciated the opportunity to continue building meaningful relationships and engaging in valuable conversations with fellow NAEMA members.

We look forward to the next conference!

Connecting at CLEANPOWER

Our team had a fantastic time in Phoenix for CLEANPOWER 2025 May 19-22nd. The conference was an energizing opportunity to connect with industry peers, explore innovative ideas, and engage in meaningful conversations about the future of clean energy.

A special thank you to everyone who joined us at our Monday night kickoff social—it was a great way to start the week! We’re grateful for the collaboration, insights, and momentum shared by our team and everyone we met along the way. Here’s to continuing the conversations sparked at CLEANPOWER as we work together to power a more sustainable future!

Met Towers Are Up!

Last month, we installed two meteorological (met) towers at our Gifted Plains Energy project site in Eastern Colorado.

Met towers collect wind and weather data that help us better understand site conditions and evaluate the potential for clean energy generation. This is an important early step in project development, and we’re excited to continue moving forward.

All Hands Spring Gathering

Last week, the NRS team came together for our Spring All Hands gathering — a meaningful time we set aside twice a year to strengthen our connections and make an impact both within our team and beyond.

From department-led activities like cooking classes, trivia, WhirlyBall, and even indoor skydiving on Tuesday, to a full day of company updates and thoughtful discussions on Wednesday, the week was filled with energy and collaboration. Wednesday night brought the whole team to Can Can Wonderland for tacos, arcade games, mini golf, and a smash room — a perfect mix of fun and bonding.

We wrapped up Thursday with breakouts and an inspiring volunteer project, making tie blankets for Greater Twin Cities United Way’s Home For Good 2025 initiative, which will help more than 700 local families transition into stable housing. Moments like these remind us that the true strength of NRS lies not just in the work we do, but in the way we come together as a team to support one another and our community.
